Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson was brought into this world on April 15th 1990, to Chris and Jacqueline. Emma was born in Paris, France where she lived with her parents and younger brother, Alex (born 1993). When she was 5 years old she and her family moved to Oxford, England.

Her parents are both lawyers and they got divorced in 1995. And they both got remarried. On her father side she has 3 half-siblings, brother Toby (born 2003) and twin sisters Lucy and Nina (born 2004). On her mother side she has 2 half-brothers.

She attended Dragon School in Oxford, England, where she found her love for poetry and arts. When she was seven years old she won the first place in the Daisy Pratt Poetry Competition. Emma also took the lead role in several plays including, ‘Arthur: The Young Years and The Happy Prince’.

When Emma was nine years old she audition for the role of Hermione Granger. Her parents gently tried to explain to her that her chances were slim and perpare her for disappointment. But after eight auditions, she met the producer, David Heyman, who told her she got the role of Hermione Granger. David introuduced her to her new co-stars, Daniel Radcliffe who plays Harry Potter and Rupert Grint who plays Ron Weasley.

Even though Emma has been busy working on the Harry Potter movies, she still did her best in school and got eight A* and two A passes in her GCSEs.
